For the 6th year running, Saper Glass was invited by Endemol to provide glass doors and screens within the Big Brother house.

This year we were asked to design two sets of external doors and screens and several large internal windows which opened up the house and provided views through into the various living spaces.

The external screens were required to be a high end contemporary design, suitably insulated and weathered for use in a residential application, so a bespoke solution was offered comprising of a flush glazed screen made up from silicon jointed double glazed units and a specially designed narrow stile double glazed door assembly.

As double glazing causes visual problems for the various cameras mounted around the house, the internal screens had to be single glazed but were also required to provide quite high levels of sound insulation between rooms. This problem was resolved by using special acoustically rated laminated glass which achieves a sound reduction rating of 40dB.

In addition to the images taken of the current house, the photographs included within this section also show some of the works we have undertaken at the Big Brother house in previous years
